The Spytec Mini GPS is our most versatile tracker. It can be placed on any person, vehicle, or asset with accurate and consistent results. Our customers have shared all the different uses to which they’ve put the tracker, and so we’ve designed and released some accessories to help fit their situations: first and most popular of which is our magnetic case.
Magnetic weatherproof case for the Spytec Mini GPS
The magnetic case is a protective option that provides a snug fit to make sure your tracker stays where it should be, courtesy of two industrial-strength magnets that securely fasten the case to any metallic surface, such as the underside of a vehicle or piece of heavy equipment.
The exterior of the case is fully waterproof, crush-proof, and impervious to dust and other particles, thus ensure that the tracked will continue to function in any weather condition or if it’s hit by road debris.

Extended battery case for the Spytec Mini GPS
The Spytec Mini GPS may be our most versatile and in-demand tracker, but it has one limitation: despite its excellent battery life, it’s still a portable tracker with a limited charge. That’s why we offer extended battery cases in two varieties: 60-day and 90-day extended battery life. These cases also contain industrial-strength magnets and can be applied to any metallic surface.
Do note that the 60 and 90 day figures are estimates based on common customer usage. The actual battery life can change depending on what update speed your tracker is set to. The faster the update speed, the more battery power it uses.
Hardwire kit for Spytec Mini GPS
If you don’t want to bother with batteries at all, you can always get the hardwire kit for the Spytec Mini GPS. This kit connects your Mini to your vehicle’s battery, the same way it does for the SWIFT GPS, so that it draws power directly from the vehicles electrical system. The Mini will then live in your vehicle’s engine compartment, so you’ll have to secure it using double-sided tape.
Magnetic Mount for the MAX GPS Tracker
The Mini GPS isn’t the only tracker we have accessories for. We also have a magnetic mount for the Spytec MAX GPS. This portable tracker has a very long battery life and is ideal for tracking assets and expensive equipment that is in storage, on the construction yard, or is seasonal, like boats or RVs. The magnetic mount helps keep the tracker secure no matter the weather–and in a hidden place to help prevent theft and aid in recovery.

How long does it take to install a GPS tracker on a fleet vehicle?
OBD trackers plug into the port under the steering wheel in about 10 seconds. Hardwired trackers take roughly 60 seconds — connect two wires to the vehicle battery. No mechanic or professional installation needed.
Can I track my vehicles in real time?
Yes. Spytec GPS provides real-time location updates as frequently as every 5 seconds on certain plans. You can view all vehicles on a single map dashboard from your computer or phone, see speed, heading, and stop duration for each vehicle.
What if an employee removes or unplugs the tracker?
Spytec GPS sends an instant alert if a tracker is unplugged or loses power. For covert installations, hardwired trackers can be hidden and wired directly to the vehicle battery, making them virtually undetectable.
Does Spytec GPS work for fleets with fewer than 10 vehicles?
Absolutely. Spytec GPS is built specifically for small and mid-size fleets of 5 to 50 vehicles. There are no minimum vehicle requirements, and you get the same features whether you track 3 vans or 50 trucks.
