How accurate is it indoors?
For equipment that lives inside, pick the Atlas Mini. It locates itself from nearby Wi-Fi networks as well as GPS, so it stays accurate in classrooms, offices and warehouses. The Atlas XL and Atlas Portable use GPS, which works best with a view of the sky: inside a steel building, a shipping container or a closed trailer, mount them near a window or door or on the outside of the container. A geofence around the building sends an alert when an asset leaves. Trackers switch between AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon for the best cell signal.
How long do the batteries last?
It depends on how often a tracker reports. The Atlas XL runs about 38 days at 60-second updates, about 58 days at 10-minute updates, about 438 days at 12-hour updates and 570+ days on once-a-day updates. The Atlas Portable runs about 9 days at 5-second updates and about 13 to 14 days at 60-second or power-saving updates. You can change the interval from the app at any time. The Atlas Mini runs up to 2 weeks, depending on how often it reports. The Pulse Engine is wired in and never needs charging.
How do we recharge a lot of trackers?
Each Atlas XL comes with its own wireless charging pad, and each Atlas Portable comes with a USB-C cable and wall adapter. The app shows each tracker's battery level and sends a low-battery alert, so you can charge on a rotation instead of all at once. For assets you rarely touch, put an Atlas XL on a slower interval: on once-a-day updates it runs 570+ days between charges.
Can we pay with a purchase order or invoice?
Yes. Schools and other organizations can pay by purchase order or invoice. Call 1-877-931-0721 or use live chat with your quantity and billing details. If you'd rather pay by card, the online checkout takes orders of any size and applies volume pricing automatically.
Can we mix tracker types in one order?
Yes. Atlas XL, Atlas Portable, Atlas Mini and our vehicle trackers count together toward the volume tier, so 10 Atlas XL and 6 Atlas Portable is 16 trackers at 10% off. Pulse Engine trackers count too. Everything shows up in the same Hapn account.
Is there a contract, and what if we cancel?
There's no long-term contract. Choose monthly, 3-month (Atlas trackers) or annual billing for each tracker. To stop service on a tracker, cancel its plan in the Hapn app before it renews. Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime; annual plans cover the year you've already paid for. There are no activation fees and no cancellation fees. Every order has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Can we add more trackers later?
Yes. Order more online anytime, with no sales call and no new contract. The volume tier is based on the trackers in each order, so larger orders get the bigger discount.
Why do the trackers need a subscription?
Each tracker sends its location over the cellular network, and the plan covers that data plus the Hapn app on web, iOS and Android. The tracker itself is free with every plan.
