How do you actually get 12+ months of battery life?
By using the daily update mode. The tracker checks in once a day and reports its location. If you need more frequent updates, battery life decreases: 60-second updates give you about 38 days, 10-minute updates about 58 days, 12-hour updates about 14 months. You choose the tradeoff between real-time tracking and battery longevity in the app.
What's this best for?

How do I charge it?

What's the tamper alert?
Built-in light sensors on the front and back detect if someone removes the tracker. If the sensor is exposed to light (meaning someone pulled it off), you get an immediate alert with the location.
