Which portable tracker should I choose?
  • Atlas Mini – smallest and most discreet; ideal for people, small valuables, and compact assets.
  • Atlas – best all‑around balance of size and battery life for everyday vehicles and assets.
  • Atlas XL – largest battery for long‑term deployments (trailers, RVs, stored equipment) when you don’t want to charge often.
Will it work outside the US?

Yes. Portable trackers work across the US and in many international regions (including US, Canada, Mexico and more) using a multi‑carrier Super SIM. Check each product page for the latest coverage details.

Are portable trackers waterproof or rugged?

Atlas XL is a sealed IP67 dust‑ and water‑resistant unit for long‑term outdoor use. Atlas with the magnetic case is weather‑resistant and protected from moisture when mounted on vehicles or equipment.

How long does the battery last?

It depends on the tracker and how often it reports. Atlas Mini and Atlas last days to weeks per charge; Atlas XL can run for months or even a year+ in power‑saving modes.

Where can I place a portable tracker?

Drop it in a bag, glove box, center console, toolbox, crate, trailer, or equipment compartment. For outside mounting, use a magnetic or adhesive mount/case so it stays secure and protected from the elements.

What is “reporting mode” and how does it affect battery?

Reporting mode is how often the tracker sends location updates (for example, every 5 seconds, 60 seconds, 10 minutes, or once per day). Faster updates use more battery; slower updates dramatically extend battery life. You can change modes at any time in the Hapn app.

Do I need a subscription?

Yes. Portable trackers use cellular networks via built‑in SIM cards, so an active subscription is required. The tracker hardware is free with any subscription, and all app features are included—no extra fees for faster updates or wider coverage.
