How hard is installation?
Easier than you'd think. Connect the red wire to your vehicle's 12V constant power (usually the battery positive terminal) and the black wire to ground. If you're comfortable using jumper cables, you can do this yourself in about 15 minutes.
Why choose Pulse Wired over the OBD plug-in tracker?
Two main reasons: it's hidden and tamper-resistant. The OBD tracker is visible in the footwell and can be unplugged. How fast are location updates?
Up to 5-second updates—fast enough for real-time monitoring of routes and driver behavior.
Will this drain my car battery?
No. It draws minimal current (similar to your car's clock or alarm system) and won't drain a healthy battery, even if the vehicle sits for weeks.
What vehicles does this work with?
Any vehicle with an 8V to 32V electrical system—cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, boats, RVs, heavy equipment. It's not limited to vehicles with OBD ports.
Does this give me engine diagnostics or fuel levels?
No. Since it connects to the battery (not the OBD port), it doesn't pull vehicle telematics data. If you need engine codes, fuel levels, and trip data, the OBD Plug-In Tracker is a better fit.
