My child started driving on his own. I informed him of the GPS and showed him how it works. Even call him when he's doing something he shouldn't. The chances of a new driver getting into a crash the first 6 months are extremely high. My son said knowing that he is being monitored helps him be a better driver. He's more aware of his surroundings and actions.
The afternoon after installing the tracker I noticed a low fuel warning light report. When I suggested my driver fill up soon, he told me that he was fine until morning. About 15 minutes later he told me that he was stopping for gas. The telematics capabilities are a great side benefit to the excellent location tracking.
Product works as advertised. Excellent tracking on the device and communication from the company with helpful tips and tricks after initial setup. Easy to use app. The tracker took less than 60 seconds to plug in and show up on my phone on the app.
I did have to disconnect my OBD II port and zip tie it behind the dash to hide from would be thieves and keep from hitting our knee on our SUV model. It's a simple fix for now. Until I can order an OBD II splitter to use to hide the tracker behind the dash and still have access to the original OBD port. A link to OBD II splitters would be helpful.
Great unit, out of the way, no battery…just wonder how many thieves, it they broke into the car, would suspect an OBD tracker…because easily seen and could be easily removed?
