What does the AI actually do?

Does this include GPS tracking too, or just video?
Both. It's a dash camera and a GPS tracker in one device. You get real-time location tracking, trip history, speed data, and video footage—all in the same Hapn app you'd use with our standalone GPS trackers.
How is this different from a regular dash cam?
Regular dash cams just record video to an SD card. You have to pull the card or connect to the camera to get footage. This camera uploads clips automatically over cellular, tags events with AI, and includes live GPS tracking. You can view footage and location from anywhere without touching the camera.

How do I install it?

Does it record all the time or only during events?
It records continuously while the vehicle is on. The AI flags specific events for easy review, but the full footage is available if you need to go back and look at something the AI didn't flag.
How do I access the video footage?
Through the Hapn app—same app you'd use for GPS tracking. Event clips are uploaded automatically, and you can view them from your phone or desktop without physically accessing the camera.
Does it record audio inside the vehicle?
You'll want to check local laws on recording audio in vehicles, especially if employees or passengers may be recorded. Audio recording settings can typically be configured based on your needs and legal requirements.
Will my drivers know they're being recorded?

Do I need a subscription?
