Import the recommendations

Spytec automatically brings in the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule.

02

Schedule the service

The recommended maintenance is scheduled, giving your team a service plan without entering each interval manually.

03

Trigger the job when needed

Maintenance jobs are triggered when service is due. Assign the work, follow its progress and keep the details together.

How manufacturer schedules become maintenance jobs

Useful automation. Less routine admin.

A service plan with less setup.

Spytec brings in your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule and triggers jobs when they’re needed. Your team gets a service plan without entering every interval by hand.

Set assignments and reminders on a recurring schedule once. They apply to each work order it creates.

Flexible enough for your business

Add custom service when you need it.

Need your own inspection or service routine? Add a recurring schedule by mileage, engine hours or date. Create a one-time work order whenever an unexpected repair comes up.

By mileage

Schedule service around distance travelled. Set the repeat interval and starting odometer reading.

By engine hours

Use running time for equipment and vehicles whose wear is not fully captured by road miles.

By date

Use a calendar interval for time-based checks and recurring service tasks.

Custom service intervals

Maintenance alongside fleet tracking

Choose a tracker for your maintenance plan.

Mileage and engine-hour schedules need the right vehicle data. Spytec’s OBD and hardwired vehicle trackers support maintenance triggers; fuel and diagnostic fault codes require an OBD tracker and a supported vehicle.

Vehicle tracking meets service planning

What is fleet maintenance tracking?

Spytec brings vehicle maintenance into one place: service schedules, work orders, assignments, reminders, costs and completed work. Your team can see what needs attention and manage it through completion, alongside fleet tracking in the Hapn app.

Useful answers

Fleet maintenance, explained.

What can I manage in Spytec Maintenance?

Manage manufacturer and custom service schedules, recurring or one-time work orders, assignments, advance reminders, costs and completed work. The overview shows overdue, due-soon and scheduled work so your team can see what needs attention.

Can fleet maintenance work orders be created automatically?

Yes. Spytec automatically imports and schedules the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance, then triggers maintenance jobs when they are due. Custom recurring schedules can also generate work orders for additional service.

Can I schedule maintenance by mileage or engine hours?

Yes. Recurring schedules support odometer, engine hours and date-based intervals. Choose the trigger that matches the service requirement and make sure the tracker provides the readings that schedule needs.

Can I assign a work order to an outside repair shop?

Yes. Enter the shop’s email address in the assignment field. The app states that work orders are emailed to that address; the same assignment can apply to every work order generated by a recurring schedule.

Can I get a reminder before maintenance is due?

Yes. The reminder control offers one, three or seven days before the work is due. You can also choose no advance reminder.

Can I create a repair without a recurring schedule?

Yes. Choose a one-time work order for a single maintenance job on one or more assets. It does not repeat.

What details are kept with a work order?

The work-order view includes the assigned asset, service schedule or due point, assignee, cost, and notes or instructions. The maintenance overview also includes completed work.

Which Spytec trackers support maintenance triggers?

Spytec’s OBD and hardwired vehicle trackers support mileage, engine-hour and date triggers. Hardwired tracking uses a starting odometer plus tracked distance, and ignition-on time for engine hours. Fuel readings and diagnostic fault codes require an OBD tracker and a supported vehicle.

Do I have to enter the manufacturer’s service schedule manually?

No. Spytec automatically imports the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule and schedules the jobs so they trigger when needed. You can also create custom schedules and one-time work orders for additional work.

Make the next service easier to manage.

Give your team one place to plan service, manage work orders and keep maintenance records—alongside the vehicles they track every day.
