We are changing our name from Spytec GPS to Hapn.
Why are we changing our name?
We’ve been changing and improving in a thousand different ways over the last several years. Whether within our apps or hardware, changes seen or changes felt, internally or externally, we’ve been working on overdrive to provide more and better value to our customers.
At a certain point, we took a look in the mirror and realized we weren’t the same company, that we changed so significantly that we in fact had a new identity. Becoming Hapn is much more than just a name change, it signifies the final shedding of the skin of who we were.
So what? What’s the point? Why are we working so hard to improve in the first place?
We know how important our products are to our customers and we are on a mission to change what’s broken in our industry.
This change to Hapn signifies much more than just a name change. A brand is a promise and so this change to Hapn represents our promise to our customers as follows:
- Always on when you need it: The most reliable hardware and software.
- An obsession with speed: The fastest alerts and live maps on the market.
- A passion for serving our customers: Friendly, capable, and responsive support that is always willing to go the extra mile.
- Fair and honest billing: No hidden fees. We want customers to choose us because we provide the most valuable product — not because they were tricked into it.
- Software that strives for simplicity: Intuitively designed software that doesn’t compromise on power.
- We will never stop innovating: We will never stop finding ways to improve our value to our customers.

Why did we pick the name Hapn?
‘Hapn’ is a word that simply gets to the heart of the questions we answer for customers:
- What happened?
- When did it happen?
- Where did it happen?
- Why did it happen?
- And what will happen next?
We even did a small video to celebrate our new name, our history, and our mission.

When will this change occur?
This change is going to roll out towards the end of March ‘23.
What will customers need to do? Do they need to create a new account?
Our products will continue to work in exactly the same way. Customer logins, usernames, and passwords will still work like before. Customers will access their accounts via gethapn.com and via the Hapn app on iOS and Android.
Will my Spytec trackers work with Hapn?
Yes! Spytec GPS Trackers + Hapn will work seamlessly together.
Will my Spytec GPS iOS and Android apps work with Hapn?
Your apps will be automatically renamed to “Hapn” in the background. If your apps are set to automatically update, like most apps do, the change should be seamless. Just make sure you don’t miss the new icon.
What can I expect from the changes?
A beautiful all-new design for our apps. And a variety of other small improvements sprinkled throughout our software to discover. And many more exciting improvements are going to follow.
